beginner-friendly fast confirmation
How long are the classes and how many sessions? Schedules & course formats

Most course sessions are 2 hours. Typical options:

  • Starter course: 4 sessions
  • Skill builder: 6 sessions
  • Advanced projects: 8 sessions
  • One-day workshops: 2.5–3 hours

If you’re unsure, use the “Ask a question” button and tell us your goals (wheel, handbuilding, glazing, etc.).

Can I reschedule if I miss a class? Makeup classes & policy

We try to be flexible while keeping groups balanced.

  • 24+ hours notice: we’ll offer a makeup slot (subject to availability).
  • Less than 24 hours: we’ll still try to help, but it depends on capacity and prep already done.

Tip: if you know you’ll travel, tell us early—glazing and firing steps can be planned ahead.

What payment methods do you accept? Do you offer refunds? Payments, invoices, refunds

Payment: card online (secure checkout). If you need an invoice, request it when booking or via the form.

Refunds: deposits hold your seat and prep time, so refunds depend on timing:

  • 7+ days before start: usually refundable (minus processing fees if any).
  • 3–6 days: typically partial credit for a future class.
  • 0–2 days: usually non-refundable due to limited resale time.

We’ll always aim for the fairest solution—especially for emergencies.

Are materials and tools included? Clay, tools, glazes, firing

Included for most courses:

  • Standard studio clay
  • Shared tools + wheel access (when relevant)
  • Glazes and firing for course-made pieces within size guidelines

Optional: specialty clays, large-scale pieces, or premium glaze tests if you want to explore advanced surfaces.

When can I pick up my finished pieces? Kiln timeline & pickup

Clay needs time to dry evenly, then it’s fired (bisque), glazed, and fired again. Typical pickup timing:

  • Standard: 2–4 weeks after your last class
  • Humid seasons / large forms: may take a bit longer

We notify you as soon as your pieces are ready. If you’re traveling soon, mention it—we can often prioritize smaller items.

Is the studio accessible? What if I have allergies or sensory needs? Accessibility & comfort

We want pottery to be comfortable and safe. We can often support:

  • Wheelchair-friendly layout planning (depending on session)
  • Low-fragrance guidance
  • Extra time for cleanup and transitions

Please use the form to share details—no medical info required, just what helps you work best.

Do you provide a certificate after completing a course? Certificates & proof of training

Yes—request a certificate any time after your final session. It can include:

  • Total hours attended
  • Techniques covered (wheel, handbuilding, trimming, glazing)
  • Instructor signature (digital)

If you need a specific format for school/employer, mention it in your message.

Do you offer classes for kids or teens? Age guidance

We love teaching families, with age-appropriate setups:

  • Teens: often welcome in workshops (sometimes with an adult)
  • Younger children: best in family sessions designed around safety and shorter attention spans

Send your child’s age and your preferred dates and we’ll suggest the best fit.

What should I bring and what should I wear? Prep checklist

Bring yourself—everything essential is provided. For comfort:

  • Clothes that can get dusty (clay washes out, but stains happen)
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Tie back long hair; avoid dangling jewelry
  • If you can, keep nails short for easier shaping
Do you offer private lessons or team workshops? Private & corporate

Yes—private options can include:

  • Wheel intro + guided pieces
  • Handbuilding sculptural workshop
  • Glaze lab (color + surface tests)

Tell us group size, date window, and the vibe (relaxed / structured / team-building) in the form.

Can I gift a course to someone? Gift vouchers

Absolutely. Send us:

  • Recipient name
  • Your message (optional)
  • Preferred course type or amount

We’ll reply with a voucher confirmation and redemption instructions.
